The Brown Stair Way

Brown Stair Montessori provides children with a warm, caring and educational environment while combining a family daycare setting with Montessori materials and philosophy. Children are encouraged to explore the environment freely and independently, as they develop Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Science, Culture & Geography, and Mathematical skills. Care of Self, the Environment and the importance of grace and courtesy are also emphasized and developed.

Children learn best through hands-on learning and interaction with the world around them. Materials within the environment and lessons presented tap into the child’s predisposition, or sensitivity to learning a specific skill based on his or her stage of development. The Montessori Method provides children with individualized learning experiences while creating joyful, happy members of the community and world!
